The County Mall

Owned by Friends Provident, The County Mall is situated in the heart of Crawley town centre and is home to more than 90 leading high street brands.  A bustling retail centre that is open seven days a week, the Mall comprises and environment that requires detailed cyclical maintenance.

Kenyon was engaged to redecorate the main atrium and to provide new bespoke joinery. The company's joinery team crafted new hardwood stairs in a contemporary style. The stairs were finished in yacht varnish to provide extra durability.

Because any daytime closure of the centre was out of the question, the decoration of the atrium and the main walkways had all to be undertaken out of hours. And because erecting any fixed access structures was also out of the question, Kenyon felt it necessary to adopt an unusual solution. The company decided to employ specialist abseiling teams to undertake the decoration works!

The project was completed on time and to the complete satisfaction of the client. Kenyon’s innovative approach ensured that the client and its customers experienced no disruption to business.
