The Crown Estates is one of the largest property owners in the UK. Its portfolio is estimated to be worth £6.2 billion. Kenyon was delighted to be given the opportunity to support the Crown Estate Commissioners in their work.
Works carried out included the installation of emergency lighting systems in a number of multi-tenanted blocks in fashionable Pimlico. Once that work was completed, new emergency signage was installed throughout the estate.
While on site, Kenyon was asked to carry out Legionella Risk Assessments of all the cold water tanks in the roof spaces. The resulting survey identified the need for isolated sterilisation in some instances. In others, the complete re-design and replacement of the water storage systems was indicated. Some logistical complications were successfully overcome in installing large new tanks in confined Georgian roof voids.
